Any users here from Florida or anybody with good information about Florida?
I don't live there, but have visited numerous times. Thinking of heading that way?
Yes, I have been in Orlando 3 times already and will possibly go for the fourth time april next year.
Just wondering if anybody local know good, reliable and cheap condo rentals? I already have rented a condo 2 of the 3 times with no problems (my first visit was on a hotel :-( ).
Oh, nope, sorry I can't help you much on that. I thought you might have been looking for tourist attractions or something![]()
If You have any suggestions besides the obvious such as Disney, Universal, Seaworld, Discovery Cove then feel free to post them.
Wasn't one lady on here from that area? Shirley I think her name was? Maybe you could PM her.
Alligator safari in the everglades. No, I'm not kidding.
Seriously, if you've seen as much disney as you can handle, make some calls and take a drive down into the everglades. Get on a big old air boat, and drive around the swamps looking for gators.
Just don't get out of the boat. Never get out of the boat.
That could be interesting but I think I have seen enough gators in Gatorland
I am considering a helicoptor ride:

a hot air balloon ride:

or even a ride in a biplane:

If you are near the beach, you could give parasailing a try. There are usually a good number of them near any local beach that is reasonably busy.
I suppose if you head east of Orlando there should be plenty of possibilities there - try the yellow pages.
I'm in Orlando - if you like fishing, you'll find some of the best in florida. I highly recommend it, especially mid-summer.
well then, if you find yourself with nothing to do, you could come visit us and work on ServiceCenter![]()
heck, see what's going on in orlando during the time-frame you'll be here. check http://www.icflorida.com for the event calendar, or even the events on http://www.orlandosentinel.com .. perhaps there will be a festival or other event you'll want to see.
I haven't been to it myself, but I hear "La Nouba" / Cirque du Soleil (sp) is a pretty good show.
Hey You I wil be on vacation at that time 8) If I can stand the heat I will probably try to get a tee-time for a round of golf.Originally Posted by alistairpaul

My sister - with whom I am going - have seen the show when it was in Denmark and she says is was fantastic so I know for sure she will want to see that.Originally Posted by alistairpaul

Does any of You that live in Florida, Orlando area know of good reliable photo shops with reasonable prices in Orlando / Kissimee or maybe even in Tampa?
I hope I will be visiting Orlando in september and compared to the prices in Denmark I can save a whole lot of money on photo gear if I buy it in USA.
If you made it to Florida, I hope you had a good trip. If you ever come back, get in touch. Jim
