What can connect -it do?

Hi All,

We are currently purchasing connect-it to replace our scauto interface into our mainframe.

But I also would like to set up bi-directional lotus notes emails (we already have outgoing SCemail) but I hav been told we need to buy the SCsutomate adapter for email and this costs sh*t loads of money !

Is there anyway of emailing directly into SC without the adapter?

as I have no expereince at all with connect-it (not even seen it in action yet!) i am very confused what connect-it does on its own and what it needs adapters for. :-?

Connect.It has two connectors for sending and receiving emails.

Sending mail is with SMTP.

Receive mail is with POP3.

Last I tested incomming emails (1,5 year ago) the mail had to be in XML format otherwise it could not be read by CIT.

There is also a Lotus Notes database connector with which You can read anything in a Lotus Notes DB.

Exactly which SCAuto licenses do You have? You may be able to do a one for one swap with SCAuto email capabilities to Connect.It email capabilities. We got a deal like that.

Hi, wasn't there a subject some time ago on using ConnectIt-Asset Center (reading event out and sent mail), some time ago? I am still thinking of this solution to save on some money to use for other things....so want to get rid of ScEmail....

you can use different notes connector ... notes db , notes fetch mail and so on ... but , always the same problem .. licencse costs .... without a licencse you can create a text file ... and than poll this file and create a mail .... thats the cheapest way
