Default SC-Resources back up after 6 hours power blackout.

Most of Denmark and southern Sweden was hit by a power blackout today affecting 4 million people.

It is very ioronic that I just yesterday read that a danish delegation has left for New York to study the consequences of that power blackout on 15/8.

The blackout resembles the one in USA since a power plant in Sweden dropped out causing Danish power plants to be overloaded.

That does seem strange. What are the chances of them occuring so closely together?

And didn't England suffer a blackout a week or 2 after NYC? Too many coincidences are just a coincidence

Luckily, this week's blackouts on the East Coast US can be blamed on Hurricane Isabel.

Tommy, how did your company's disaster plans work out? Or do you have generators available to last long enough?

Our main building is completely covered by UPS. We have our own generator which is tested several times a year. Some of our other locations were affected because they did not have their own generators.

Only the lights went out for a few seconds. No computers or servers was affected. All internal systems worked. Our helpdesk received some calls but was not able to dial out.

I was able work all the time. I was not able to access the internet or internet mails.
