Array fields in qbe lists

Does anyone know how to include part of an array field, for example 'description' in Change, as a qbe column which can be used in Modify Columns.



I have included 'description,1' as a column on cmr3.qbe.g, and it works OK, to show the first line of the description. However, if someone selects Modify Columns from the qbe, this field cannot be selected from the drop-down list, and if any other entry is modified, it is removed from the qbe.

I have just tested this on an OOB SC4 and the exact same happens, only the modified qbe is completely different from the default one.
