    Environment: windows 2000



    ServiceCenter 4.05











    We wrote a script that runs the backup on a daily basis. Recently we have been experiencing a problem with "scenter -stoplogging" command. This command is hanging and the users cannot log or do anything within ServiceCenter. Does anyone knows why this command is hanging????







    At times We get this error from the log file “Error 5 in call OpenEvent – Access is denied.”

    Can you check the error reported in the log file when sto logging appears
    to be hanging.

    You need to run the report scenter -reportlocks regularly and then trace back.

    Once SC hangs You cannot do anything to analyse what went wrong without the information reportlocks can give You.
