LDAP Connector Licencing

My client is interested in purchasing the ldap connector so that they can populate their contacts table in SC. Only a single userid will be accessing LDAP via connect.it but when inquiring about the price of the connector, they've been quoted for 80 named user licences and 150 floating licences. Anyone know why you would need so many licences?

We had the same experience with Peregrine for both the LDAP and TEC connectors. They told us that the Connect-IT connector's price(s) are based on the number of ServiceCenter licenses. Doesn't seem fair but it does increase Peregrine's Revenue Stream.

One way we saved a few bucks as to have our LDAP team create an flat extract file on a nightly basis and then import it into the Contacts Table using the Connect-IT Text Connector, which they don't charge extra for.

That way we did not need the LDAP connector.
