Default SC6 upgrade from 5.x error on converttoutf8

I'm trying an upgrade from 5.x to 6 and recieve the following error during converting to UTF-8:
This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way.
Please contact the application's support team for more information.

    Anyone else run into this?

Yeah, we had similar problems trying to run the conversion step, just for fun. First it crashed on the core file. Then we did a reset on the core file and tried again. It then crashed on the incidents file, having > 500.000 records. Then we did a reset on the incidents file as well and the conversion ran to an end.
Afterwards we were able to offload the core file fom the V5 system and load the data into the converted database. Also, a big chunk (> 60.000) rows from the incidents file was recreated the same way.
I don't know if we got exactly the same error as you did. It was by no way a serious test - rather a crash test, you could say

I also tried running the conversion once and did get an error, I don't remember which!

Conclusion: Run the conversion on an empty database :-?

I found the error buried in the sc.log that showed what file had a problem.
We had an unused file in dbdict with empty structures. I guess it didn't like it.
