    Default Application upgrade to SC6?

I know there is one if you are running SC5, however I remember hearing possibilities a little while back that they may allow for a direct upgrade from SC4? I have not seen anything on their download site, so I assume this is not going to happen. Has anyone heard otherwise?

I am in the process of performing an upgrade from SC4.0.10.2 to SC6.0.1 using P4. Most of the problems I am encountering are related to the forms designer and using striclty the webclient. There are some functionality losses since I am using the webclient for our users but form the most part it is a better than the Java client. Give yourself plenty of time in the project plan for this or wait until 6.1 due in the first quarter of 2005.

According to the Application Upgrade Doc (page 8) this upgrade is for everthing from A9901 (SC3?) forward.

I tried during more than ... one month !! (yes, as you are reading) the upgrade from SC4 to SC 6.0, according Peregrine Systems assured it was possible. Finally, the solution was to installing SC 6.0 from the beginning, including the entire taylorization implemented through years.

That's what we're doing at my place. I think it ends up better in the end. We get to shed a lot of old crap, do things in better ways, etc, etc.
