Checking the destination value

Hi All,



Does anyone know a way of checking the destination value of a field before writing to it?



For example I have a serial.no field in the source and a serial.no in the destination. I want to check to see if those fields are the same value. If they are different I want to overwrite another field. Anyone know of a way to do this?

In the script You can open an odbc connection to the destination and check the record that way - this ofcourse assumes You have the license and the destination is odbc capable.



The relevant functions are described in the programmers reference.
