Can anyone tell me if ServiceCenter provides a client web interface option for opening/updating Problem records?

If it does, where can I get some documentation on the subject.

    thanks,

    Tim

This used to be the "native" ServiceCenter web client, but has been replaced (sales wise) by GetIT (GetService).

Documentation is on the regulair site and more detailled stuff (manuals) on the support site.

You could always "roll your own" and use the SCAuto SDK.

Yes, but is that "organisationally" acceptable? Specifically in maintenance and upgrade?

    Did you (with management approval?)

    Hi,

i have done implementations of Get-Service and "homemade" web applications and I must say that I think the best is to use the Get-Service application because you have the archway-interface to communicate directly into ServiceCenter (and any other odbc-ressource) and you don't need to think of what database engine servicecenter is running at.

My management runs under the presumption that spending money is bad, and my time is free. So - Yes - I am in the process of developing a web interface using SCAuto SDK, with management approval.

And I would not consider this to be a database specific solution - or maybe I am misunderstanding your response... Whatever SC uses as it's backend database engine (P4, Oracle DB2, MSSQL, etc), any transactions that occour via the SCAuto SDK occour via the P4 translation layer, which resides ontop of whatever database the backend is. So, in my opinion, this would be completely database engine neutral.
