Has anyone ever managed to use the IR parameters to implement a text searching solution that users can actually understand. Most do not want to know about "Shallow", "Deep" etc. They want to be able to search for text and find it - simple as that. I was thinking of defaulting to "Complete" for IR searches, and hiding the other options. I would be very interested in hearing how other people have implemented IR searching.
