Default ServiceCenter 6 and Event Services

    Hello sc gurus,

I am not an expert with the ServiceCenter 6 application, but I know my way around it when it comes to using it. I have been given the task to build a web external application to open, update and view incident tickets from servicecenter.

Now I was successful in building this application using the SOAP API that comes with SC6, but I recently discovered that the SOAP API is going to be a licensed module which costs a ridiculous amount of money.

It is my understanding that I should be able to accomplish the application I would like to write utilizing SC6 Event Services (without SCAuto). If this is not true please let me know, before I go insane on figuring out how to do it. If this is possible can someone give me any direction on how I go about doing this. From the point of setting up the events (registering them) in SC6 to the point of how to connect to the event listener from lets say asp, jsp, java or any programming language.

I have read every documentation PDF file (event services, admin guides etc.) but the bulk of these documents are all just concepts. I have searched pretty much every article on the peregrine support site, I've googled until I can't google no more. I am so lost with event services and would be so appreciative and grateful if someone can help me take my first steps in completing this task.

    Thanks,
    mdossantos

You can't use event services without SCAuto or Connect. It which both require licensing from HP. I don't know what is the cheaper SOAP, SCAuto or Connect.It.
    Best regards Tommy
