We are currently mapped out to Oracle 9 and are preparing to move ServiceCenter to a new server. For testing, we have made a copy of our production database and ServiceCenter install on the new server. We are experiencing worse performance on the new server even though it should be considerably faster. The problem seems to be when querying tables. As an example, querying the operatorm1 table through the SQL Query tool in ServiceCenter returns a result in about 8 - 10 seconds. The same query through SQL Plus run from the server returns a result in less than 1 second. The same query through ServiceCenter returns much quicker in our production system. Our Oracle database is copied from production and the ServiceCenter install was copied from the production server. We are running SC6.1.1 under AIX 5.3 and using Oracle 9.2.07. Are there any AIX settings that could impact this? I do have a ticket open with support.
