    Default Avatars

Hi.. Did you get a chance to find a solution for the problem with the avatars?

(The avatar filetype must be .jpg, .gif or .png)..

Did you specify the avatar in the box where you uploaded it from your pc or from a remote url?

btw I think I will test a chat feature on the site tonight. The really good thing about this new forum is that it is very easy to put in new things and a lot of good functionality has been developed for this forum.

    Frank, this is really weird.

If You can put Your avatar on a website then use the option "upload from remote" then it should work. At least it worked for me and I did reproduce the error You get when uploading from a local file.

I will try to link a picture as my avatar.
To upload a file in the testforum didn't work either :-/

Maybe a problem with our firewall here. I will try that from my privat computer again.

Frank, could I bother You with one more test?

Try logging on to this testsite:

    http://test.sc-resources.net:8181

The port number last is important, that test site is on a linux pc. If You could logon and test the upload of avatar and other files.

I had a call when i did that.. maybe i did something wrong...

Can you check it for me?

The reason for that is because You changed the email address. The board is setup to inactivate the account if the email address is changedm You should receive an activation mail.

The reason for that behavior is to prevent users from registering with a valid email address and then change it to an fake email address!
