Thread: Create new database in SC 6.21

Hi, I am new to this forum.
We are setting up SC 6.2.1 - greenfield installation.
What is the quickest way to build a clean P4 database environment?
We did the out-of-the-box install and have all the demo records and the falcon admin account.
Any clues would be appreciated.

There isn't any. There is no clear "divider" for 'functional' data and demo data. You can remove (most) operational demo data (like tickets) with the "purge production data" option.

Thanks for this... we tried "purge production" data and it cleared out base tables like "Contacts" and "icmcomputer" etc.... but all of the tickets in the various modules (service desk, incident, problem & change) are still intact.

After purging, we tried to close the open tickets, but now the form complains that the contact info for demo ticket SD1001 "Jeff Peters" is invalid.

So what this means, is we have to first - (1) close and purge tickets and (2) then purge production data to clean out "susie supertech" and "bob helpdesk" and load it with our production contact (employee) data.

Please advise if there is a better (easier) way.
