Well, just wanted to post a notification to everyone about a ServiceCenter related book, titled "Customizing ServiceCenter", that has been published by a company called New Day Press.
The book has been written by Mike Sanders, who has been working with Peregrine products for three years and is currently employed by a major financial corporation.
Information about the book can be found directly at: http://www.newdaypress.com/
As to the book, the main reason why I found it to be of interest is that it is not a Peregrine product; the book itself is not very thick (176 pages) and is rather "pricey" (it costs $75 USD).
The book consists to a large extent of pre-written code snippets that can be used when tailoring ServiceCenter; besides the code, it has a reference section containing various ServiceCenter commands. The reference section can also be purchased as a separate book, titled "ServiceCenter Quick Reference" (54 pages, price: $15 USD).
Personally, I felt that the book "Customizing ServiceCenter" could be better for consultants or the like; being that I work more on the support side, there has not been a large need for it.
Nevertheless, it's a step to the right direction and it would be nice to see more books about Peregrine products by written by third party. If anyone reading this would have the combination of knowledge, writing skills, patience, and willingness to author a Peregrine related book: New Day Press would like to hear from you.
regards,
Jarmo
