    Default Conect.It licensing

I know this may be a sensitive subject but I would like to hear other users about this.

    What have You paid for

    Connect.It basis licens?
    Connect.It ODBC connector licens?

And did You get SCAuto SDK for free with no restrictions because Connect. It does not work without this licens?

The reason for asking is that last time we got a price quote for the ODBC connector the price where approx $100.000! And I just learned that other customers has paid as litle as $3.000!

$100k for just the ODBC connector? that is outrageous. I believe we bought Connect.it outright with 5 user licenses for far less than that. We also bought the ODBC connect which I believe was around $5k based on the number of user licenses we had.

However we just bought the SMS connector and that was signifigantly more b/c it was based on the number of AssetCenter licenses we own. So maybe the price you were quoted is based on the number of SC licenses you have?!? just a guess

Also we don't own the SCAuto SDK and connect it works fine with SC in our shop. Why is it necessary to own that?

The quote is based on number of licenses but still....

We could not get connect.it mail to work properly without the licens. If we removed the licens connect.it stopped working, put it back in and it worked it again so we have the SDK for "free" but with the condition that it can only be used for email sending.

    hi,
as a former Peregrine employee I know for a fact that the sc-connecter in connect-it does not work 100% correct if the SCAuto SDK module is not activated in ServiceCenter (and the mail-connector in connect-it definately does not work without SCAuto SDK enabled in ServiceCenter).
