    Default SM7 / SC6.x Workflows

Does anyone have, or has anyone seen, any SM7 or SC6.x workflow diagrams either provided by HP/Peregrine or designed internally? I'm looking for process workflows, preferably in Viso, IBM Business Modeler, etc. - but PDF or PowerPoint will work as well (anything is better than nothing) that capture the SC6.x and/or SM7 out of box workflows in SM/SD, IM, and/or CM.

I'm looking to compare out of box workflows, ITIL v.3 workflows, and then incorporate them to design high level (early planning stages) process workflows (OOB SC/SM wokflows + ITIL). This isn't something I've ever seen internally while working at Peregrine and don't believe it is provided now/yet OOB by HP.

I did hear that some new workflows and sample data may be coming soon... possibly early 08, but anything anyone has now would be very helpful.

    Thanks in advance!

    Hi,

Found the attached Basic Workflow Diagram in "hf513 - service manager 7.x introduction - manual.pdf". Sorry I couldn't attach the pdf, it was too big (1.6MB). Let me know if you want it emailed to you. Not sure if it will be of use to you, but here it is.

Where on the HP site did you find that introduction/manual? When I go to the User Manuals section of the support site and search for Service Manager documentation I only see these:

Default IAA Build will have extensive process documentation

Just an FYI: one of the major enhancements coming with the IAA build (which will be the standard build in 7.1) is vastly expanded documentation of the processes for each module and the mapping to ITIL. It's very thorough. The IAA build is scheduled to be released later this month, and the updated documentation can be added to the existing help server files.

The workflow diagram above is included in a whitepaper on Service Lifecycle Management that is availalble on the HP Self-Solve search. I'd link to it, but the HP site is really slow as I am in India right now.

The document referred to above--"hf513 - service manager 7.x introduction - manual.pdf"-- is owned by HP Education, it is from the Service Manager Essentials class manual and is not available in soft copy from the HP site. The same diagram has been in the Essentials class manual since version 5.1.

See attached - but as John mentioned, there are much better things in the pipeline.
