    Default Sm 7.1?

We have heard from our HP sales rep that SM 7.1 should be out in February. Anyone heard about this?

We are using SC 6.2.2 for change mgmt only but soon should have projects underway for other ITIL processes. We are thinking we may be able to do the migration to SM 7.1 ahead of implementing those modules, to reduce the migration workload and the # of users impacted.

We'll need UCMDB for integration with former Mercury tools but I'm thinking we can dispense with that initially.

Anybody know what quick wins we might get from 7.1 with this scenario? Key new functionality? Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks

A guy I used to work with is at HP now (ie, this is completely rumor and innuendo ). He said that they had plans to get 7.1 out pretty quickly, especially for the SC clients, given Peregrine's spotty history with .0 releases.

Exclamation I think they meant 7.01

    I think the person misspoke.

My understanding is that 7.01 is due at the end of this month or early next.

7.10 is planned for mid-to late Summer, which is still a fairly rapid release cycle.

That release schedule for 7.01 matches what I've heard from sources as well.
