    Hi,

I am not an expert (yet ) - but I have had an experience with SC Auto.
Read the documentation for SC Auto - there is some option in scauto.ini (I am not sure about the name of this file) which gives you a detailed log.
Look also for that in knowledge base.
The simpliest way is to start on another machine if you have problems
with SCAuto. SCAuto is pretty old (or I am not up to date). We always
used ConnectIt for sending/receiving mails as it is FAR FAR more flexible.
Do not install SCAuto on win2003 or 64bit OS - I am repeating: I HAVE USED IT A LONG AGO and may not be up to date - but it was an old software.
Do not install anything you will not need - fax, etc.

You have to configure the mail properly - look into mail icon in control panel. Read the documentation.
AHA - one important thing : SC AUTO DID NOT WORK with outlook express,
    it need full Outlook.
Remember to put the SC port in ini file, like:
10.1.0.1:12670 or something like that, sorry, I do not recall it well.
    It was 2 years ago.
In case you will need that file - mail me, I will try to find it.

    hope that helps
    Artur
