    Default How to run SCAuto as windows serivce?

    When I run SCAuto as a windows service (SCMapisrv.exe), I don’t see it’s running in the “status”, but when I run it from command windows (scmapi.exe) I can see in the “status”. Also the noticeable thing is, when I run scampi.exe it asks me for password of the MAPI profile. Do we have to mention the password of the MAPI profile some where to run the SCAUTO as windows service?

    Thanks

    Abhijeet

    This file contains a few notes on version 4.0 of SCAutomate Mail
    for Windows NT.

    ================================================== ===============
    1. To run SCAutomate Mail as a NT service:
    ================================================== ===============
    To properly run SCAutomate Mail as a NT service, you need to configure the
    service "Startup" information for it. Followings are the steps:

    1. Open Control Panel/Services
    2. Select SCAutomate Mail
    3. Click on "Startup"
    4. Click on "This Account"
    5. Click on browse button
    6. Select an user and click on Add
    7. Enter the password

    The selected user has to have the rights to logon to the MAPI profile that you
    entered during the setup.

    Another bit of experience in my environment is to set the ServiceCenter service as a dependency of the SCAuto service. If SCAuto starts first, it can have problems.
