Be glad. It's a mess. I got SM 7 off a link in the HP forums, still don't have it correctly attached to my SAID. Which reminds me to go yell at my sales guy again.

Is it available to get a trial version of SM somewhere?
I will work on a project with this as a developer and would like to see what is this.
Or maybe a detailed technical documentation would also be fine to find.
    I've found only marketing docs.
    Thanks.

You need to contact HP to get the software and get a test license.

And is this possible as a simple person who is just interested in?
Or there must be some partnership?

You don't need to be a partner. You migth not be able if you are just interested as a private individual. You should probably be associated with a company they migth be buying the product.

Well, but here’s my situation. I’m a SC developer with 8 years experience. I started with version 4.0.5 and the last project I worked on was with 6.1.x. Now I want to get up to speed with SM 7.x, but I’m not associated with any of HP Partners. The company I used to work with moved from SC to a competitor product and then I worked with another company that was not an HP Partner either. It’s just me, with 8 years under my belt with SC and unable to move on to the newer version.

So, can I just form a company myself and register as an independent developer and become a partner myself? Will HP go for that..?

    Please advice!

I guess they would. If you (and your company) fullfills their requirements which includes certification. And therein lies the catch. How are you going to get certified on the latest version without access to the software.

You probably need to make some kind of arrangement with a current partner.
