Default App Upgrade changed in 7.01?

I have SM 7.00, but not 7.01 (issues with support, working on that). Is the application upgrade changed in 7.01? Or is it just an RTE upgrade that I can run later?

The standard is that there is only an applicatin upgrade if the first digit after the major number is changed.

Application upgrade and binary: 7.0x to 7.10 or 6.x to 7.x
    Only binary: 7.00 to 7.01 or 6.0.0 to 6.2.4.2

They say that, but I read somewhere there was an update to the upgrade util. Can you check in the AppUpgrade dir in the 7.01 ISO and see what the version is? eg, 7.0 has:
    SC51-SM7_v1.0_E

    Tommy,

It looks to me like they do have SCR unloads now in this upgrade. Whereas in the past there was SC6.0, SC6.1, SC6.2 as you previously stated for App changes...

The "AppUnloads\applications-7.01.unloads" indicates that the SM7.01 release appears to come with SCR unloads in addition to simply a binary upgrade:

    SCR40212_SM70.unl
    SCR40602_SM70.unl
    SCR40755_SM70.unl
    ...

Yeah but I don't consider that an application upgrade. I consider that HP just providing existing SCR's for known problems instead of customers having to ask for them.

Ah, I see where you're coming from. I just wanted to clarify that "only binary" is not 100% the case. Now it's more of "only binary + SCRs" whereas the majors use the application upgrade as you stated.

Right, if I have to add a couple unloads, no big deal, but if the entire app upgrade utility has changed, I need to make sure I'm using the new one.

Can one of you tell me if it's still:
    SC51-SM7_v1.0_E
