Hi!

I'm quite new with SM7 and I'm facing a problem here. I would like to create users with diffrent rights for CI-s. Like a Desktop admin who could read/write desktop computers, and read server computers and a Server admin who could read/write any comuter types (desktop and server too). I have tried the limitation option in the profiles editor, but it only prevents writing (no it doesn't ) the restricted CI types, but I can't set up rules for subtypes.
I heard about format control and mandanten but I don't know where to start... Any advice? Thank you!


p.s.: the restriction with the configuration profile only hides the "save" button for the given CI types. But if you modify and click away, SM asks to save the changes or not... saving is possible without errors
