Anyone seen the 7.0.1 patch? Or heard about any date for version 7.1? My support contract is messed up so I can't see the SM downloads. I was expecting to see that patch by now, and 7.1 should be out sometime soon. Thanks

Good. Is 7.0.1 available at the patch page, which is at openview.support.hp.com, or at the software download page, which is at itrc.hp.com? Thanks
The original target date for 7.1 was 9 months after the 7.0 release, which points to a September release, but HP has no provided any official statement that that plan is still on schedule.
Hi,
I would strongly recommend you use 7.01 as it is a far more stable version than 7.0. We have witnessed some issues in 7.0 especially aroud copying and renaming tables. 7.01 resolves this issue. We are at around 70% work completed on the configuration of IM and CM and it works well.
Good luck!
Fred
Hi,
are there any changes in applications, tables, etc... between SM7.0 and SM7.01 - do I need to load scr's to fix some issues?
Greets,
Lars
7.0.1 is downloaded from itrc.hp.com as a CD image file, so it is a major version, not a patch as the numbering would imply. My contract is screwed up so I can't see SM there at all, I had to request it from support by ftp, but I've got it now. Thanks
Kevin,
EVERY ServiceCenter release is released that way, both full versions and updates between versions. There are not "patch releases" as there were with Service Desk.
However, while the upgrade process between major releases involves the use of the upgrade utility and is an involved process, moving from a dot release to another does not require the same effort. You can install the newer release and connect to your existing database--your tailoring and customization is still in place. You still need to test to confirm that existing functionality has not been adversely affected by the new code, of course.
