Maybe?
./scstart
Make sure you are logged in with the userid you used to install SM with (NOT root) and that the execute bit is set for the scripts and executables. ls -l should give you rwx or r-x on the user for the files.
From the RUN directoy, the command to start the server is:
smstart
If your path variable within linux is setup to check "." then you can just use smstart, otherwise you'll want to include ./smstart if you're in the /RUN directory to indicate to your shell that you want to execute smstart in the current directory (rather than checking for smstart in the other directories defined within $PATH).
If you're having any problems, or errors starting in the sm.log file, feel free to post more details!
Hi all,
im having troubles with SM installation in red hat 4 with oracle. The error shows when im loading the data.
04/10/2008 15:03:27 RTE E Failed to hook into license module, license is not initailized in shared memory. 7606( 7606)
04/10/2008 15:03:27 RTE E Failed to initialize or attach to shared memory environment. Return code -1 7606( 7606)
thanxs!
Did you install the license manager as described in the install guide?
yeap. The only diference its that i install the autopass with root and the server with another account.
Check the license file and make sure that your SC user can write to it (in the autopass directory, I don't think this was setup right after the autopass install). Make sure you've either added your key or run sm -instantOn to get a temp key.
