Default Favorite created then disappears on refresh

    Hi All,
I'm having a problem with some of the user accounts we have created. When the user creates a Dashboard report, then drags it over to the Favorites folder, it is there until refresh is selected. If the user tries to update the properties, to change the name, a message is returned saying it was deleted by another user. So we then used the account to create another report, dragged it onto the favorites, then click refresh, it disappeared. I'm sure we have missed something, because my admin account works fine.
Anyone have a suggestion on where I should be looking.

    Thanks

    Problem solved.
One of the profiles had been changed to not allow favorites to be created.

    Hi FoxBlue,
Where in the profiles do you configure this?

The answer is actually in 2 places.
    1) the profile requires the "Can create personal views" to be checked.
Menu Navigation / System Administration / Ongoing Maintenance / Profiles

    2) the user requires the capability word "user.favorites"... We defined this at the role level
Menu Navigation / System Administration / Ongoing Maintenance / User Roles

Open Help and search on favorites for more answers on this.

    Regards

thanks FoxBlue. I already have the above two in place and the config has been in place for a while. the user still ins't able to save favorites...even with public.profile capability word.
I thought maybe you fixed it some other way so asked.. Thanks anyway.
    Cheers

I ran into this during testing and found that it only happened when the user logged in with his id in lower case. If he logged in with all CAPS it worked fine.
