Thread: Unable to install ScAuto for email notification for SM7.01

Hi Friends,

I am trying to install Scauto version 4.0.2 (on windows server)for email notification on SM 7.01. But while running installation set up i am getting the jave exception error in logfile as shown below. I can confirm that no other version of Scauto installed on this server.Jave version installed is J2SDK 1.4.2Can someone help me on this?

I am surprised that now SCAuto has anything in common with Java.
Or maybe that is the problem with installer ?
SCAuto never required the Java.

Maybe, just maybe:
1. the problem is with privileges? Run it as "administrator"
2. the problem is with SM service ? Is it working ?

But I am just guessing.
Try SCAuto 4.0.0 - there is no big difference. See release notes.

Try to instal the later version of JDK, for example, 1.5 or later. I think it'll solve your problem. I remember when I tried to instal SCAuto for the first time. I didn't have any JDK. I couldn't instal SCAuto. In that moment I realised that I need to instal a JDK. Then I installed JDK 1.5 and the installation of SCAuto was successful.
