    Exclamation Oracle conversion error

    Oracle 9

    SC server 6.2.4.2
    SC Client 6.2.4.0

    In P4 everything works fine.

Then I convert all the files to Oracle on the customers database.

Immediately after the conversion (server restarted) everything works fine.

2 days later with nobody making any modifications the system acts weird. On all queries against interactions and incidents following is appeded the query resulting in no records returned:

    owner.name#"sdapprover"

Converting back to P4 and the error PERSISTS ! What the heck......

Doing the same conversion on the same starting point on my local VMware with a standard oracle database setup everything works fine.

    HELP !!
    Best regards Tommy

Oh darn. It turns out that the same error occurs on my local vmware server after a while. Just have to wait a couple hours then it also happens there :-(

    Hi,

is your configuration a little less poular then for example 9.2.0.8 on WIndows 2003 ?
We run into issues with Oracle 9 on AIX - hot backup just blow the database so we had to fix it.

Anyway - maybe you would try to patch SC to 6.2.5 - if I am not wrong this is the last version?

Other - use sqldebug and then search for owner.name#"sdapprover" in log.
It should (I hope) tell you when it changed and what did it. I hope ...
    No better idea...

Well, just a thought - there is (but I might be wrong) some Oracle function for searching the string in the database. It was a research of my colleague so I do not recall it. Sorry ... Maybe something like Toad would help?

Another idea: I think I used to export the whole DB into some kind of text file. Maybe with Toad or SQL Navigator. Exporting to text would give you the chance to find
    owner.name#"sdapprover"
SQL Navigator has free traial version ....
