P4 database information

Hi,

Do you know any sites wherein i can find more information and documentation on P4 database. Also does p4 comes from perforce?

Any help on this?

What kind of documentation do you mean?

If you mean technical specifications on how the files are build then there is not much. I once had a document that had some information but it was not much and I have misplaced it or lost it when I switched job 3 years ago (the document was at least 5 years old). I have not seen anything like it since.

I guess Perforce is the org that owns p4 database, i am not sure though.

There is no relation between Perforce's products and the P4 database used by SC. SC's P4 stands for Peregrine 4 and existed long before Perforce did.

There isn't really any documentation on P4 other then the maintenance type stuff that is in the Database Admin Guide in 5 and prior or in the help in 6.
