TIP: Debugger

The debugger is a potentially useful tool that is similar to those you might see in other programming environments, although it is not exactly robust in features. Peregrine still refers to this one as the "experimental debugger", and it is undocumented for those of us outside the company.



Here is a debugger tip that is also undocumented . . . If you want to temporarily add the debugging capability to a user account who is not SysAdmin, without giving the account that capability word, use the capability word "Debug" (note the upper case "D") and then choose 'Bypass' when the system objects.

I'm not sure what you mean by use the capablity word with out adding it to the users record, can you be more specific?

To give a user debugger access without giving them the SysAdmin capability word, give them the Debug capability word
