    Post Inident Management

    Why when creating an Incident via WS, SM7 does not return an Incident ID. Is this right? It doesn't seem so to me.

    I'm confused.

    Any pointers?

    Many thanks.

    Hello Howsie,

    can you tell me which kind of Webservice you are using? In SM7 there are 2 different types of Webservice.

    I tested the newer one some time ago with CallMgmt. And as far as I remember I got the CallId back.

    In the old-fashioned Webservice the Id is returned in the response Object.

    I hope that helped a little bit!

    did your function return values?

    are you using the response object model with the field you want to retrieve?

    something like (in VB Net)

    return response.model.instance.field.toString()

    try the response.key object instead

    Today I'll have a look to my old Webservice Application how it really work....

    Sorry for the late reply. This turned out to be a Connect.It issus.

    Thanks for your suggestions!
