Mike Sanders new book about ServiceCenter Javascript has been out now for some time.
The book is as the other books in a handy format and spiral bounded so it won't close when you put it down on the table. This is a personal preference. I like it some will not like it.
In the first chapter is an introduction to what is in the book. The real stuff starts in chapter 2 that explains where javascript can be used. After this follows a short 30 minute primer to get the reader quickly introduced to ServiceCenter javascript by trying a simple test javascript.
After an important chapter about why it is best to store all javascripts in the Scriptlibray Mike continues with the actual language as implemented in ServiceCenter / ServiceManager.
I would like to emphasize the chpaters 7 and 11 as particular important as they describe the important differences between SC and javascript arrays and SC and javascript dates and times. Both subjects that many including myself struggles with when developing code.
There are lots of sample code throughout the book, chapter 20 has 37 small usefull fully working javascript functions. Also in chapter 17 Mike describes a System Analysis Tool he has developed and provides with the book. All the sample code is delivered in a zip file when you purchase the book
All in all I can definitely recommend this book.
