ED 2.x field for device update

Hi,

We have ED2.x and a ConnectIt scenario to insert data into AssetCenter. At ED connector, we have selected "Device_UpdatedDt" as a schedule pointer. However, I understand that this field is 'the date when a device was last visited'.

Though there are no updations on the device, this field will get modified, as it is intended for last visited date.

We are looking for some field in ED, which gets modified, only when there are any modifications on the device...

Can somebody point me to the right direction...

since nobody answered - maybe this post will help and will be better then nothing.


So... I suggest a different approach:
use the differential scan files (I forgot the actual name). When you configure the scanner (was it "scan group" maybe ?) you have an option to choose delta scanning.

That means - if ED will save the scan file (you can look into the processed directory)
then something was changed for sure. This scan file is not generated when nothing changed. So do an import with connectit that delta scan - and that is all.


Just to be sure is everything OK when you can not see any file - you can update
the asset (computer) in AC with last scan date. (for this you need ED ODBC connector).
