I also received the email. It states that it will repeat the information presented at the Executive Road Show (which I atteneded here in Philadelphia last week). We were able to ask direct questions there, but the email doesn't indicate that it will be an interactive conference. If you have specific questions going in, why don't you try sending them to prgn_execforum1@list.peregrine.com? They may be able to incorporate them into the conference call.
Did anyone happen to listen in on the conference call today? I did - if anyone else did, what did you think?
There was one lady who voiced a complaint about Peregrine going through so many sales reps that she is now on her fifth rep in like a year or two. This has also happened to us as of last Friday, but this makes number 2 for us.
I heard the last 30 minutes of it. When I heard that question I immediately thought of our situation with our ACD vendor. The ACD we use is rock solid but we are now on our 5. account manager and I am sure he will be gone in 4 months time :-(
Anyway I think it was more or less the same information Peregrine has told before. The most interesting part was the roadmap. And I found especially the client selfupgrade feature the most interesting one which I will await with excitement.
I just wish more people had either listened to the whole presentation or re-thought their questions before they asked them. The presentation was well done, but the Q&A period afterwards made me shake my head.
Well the reason why I did not hear it all was this.
I connected at work but could not get audio via stream so I had to call international from Denmark to US to listen.
First it was 10 minute late and after 20 minutes the line was cutoff. When they more or less say You should connect before time they should start on time.
When somebody does something like this the technology MUST work. This is the second time I have tried to attend a webcast from Peregrine. First time I could not get any audio at all. I will not try again because I do not have confidence that it works properly, I don't want to waste my time on things like that I have better things to do.
Since I live in Denmark it was late in the afternoon and I went home. I was just able to catch the last approx 30 minutes of the webcast.
I listened to the whole thing, overall I found it fairly interesting, but it really was little more than a re-hash of all the stuff I found out for myself over the 'net.Originally Posted by ambarnes

They brought up IBM several times, they're clearly using that alliance to gain as much credibility as possible. They even called their association a "mariage".
By the end though, I was fairly distracted, and I missed out on some things concerning TSD transition that I wish I'd understood - can anyone else who listened to that part give me a summary ?
And the Q&A was badly run - they should have somehow sorted the questions, some were very much case by case responses of no interest to anyone else. The woman with the 4-5 sales reps was a reminder to all that all clients are going through tough times.
I heard everything, the first part was pretty good where they lined the future strategy up including the roadmap and the MARRIAGE with IBM. The Q/A session at the end was a waste of time, you are right, some of the info were irrelevant. Their statement was clear, they are extremely focused at their customer and partner base, a well known speech and we have heard it all before.
Let us see what the next 6 months bring to the table. Now the Remedy part is sold off and Peregrine are back in Infrastructure Management section again with ServiceCenter, AssetCenter, OAA and InfraTools so lets pray for their survival. Look at the products, they are pretty good and interesting.
Finally, I have seen Tivoli Service Desk, Remedy and POB Wendia and ServiceCenter is still my favourite.
