Hey
Do you guys use Knowlix?? and if so have you heard of this issue?
and any work around???
Thanks
Tom...
Dear Nick,
Ticket # 192910 has been opened for you describing the following problem:
The LivePublish component of K4SC crashes, the dllhost.exe task (a
component of the IIS web server) consumes the CPU (50 - 100% utilization).
This effectively prohibits any further web access until IIS is recycled.
This is a known issue being addressed at this time (SCR20863). The problem
has been traced back to LivePublish, the technology on which Knowlix for
ServiceCenter 5.0 and Knowlix for IT 5.1 were built. The root of the
problem is that LivePublish hangs up when a knowledgebase that is "live" ie
currently mounted to a site definition file is being authored at the same
time (using Knowlix Author). There is a patch in the works (5.1.1.2) that
will fix that and a number of other issues. The patch is currently in
testing, and is slated for release in November, though development is
working hard to get it out sooner. I am personally monitoring potential
patch candidates, and will keep you informed of progress and make sure that
delivery is carried out once it becomes available.
Please let me know if there are any further questions or concerns.
Thanks and Best Regards,
Technical Support Engineer
Knowlix / Infratools
