Default Standard Crystal Reports for location information

I am very new to HP Service Center, and this is my first posting so go lightly on me please for asking obvious silly questions/getting terminology wrong.

I am wanting to produce a Crystal report based on contact location information. Nothing more exciting than the number of calls logged per location in a given year. However, when I extract information from incidentsm1 table, for example location or dept, these field appear to be blank for some of the incident.ids.

My questions I guess really is, why is this? Are there some other tables that hold this information? and if anyone has a report like this that is standard out of the box for 6.1.4 release would you be kind enough to let me have it? ty

    Default

Location might not be a required field on your system, as there is no default for any given ServiceCenter installation. My guess is location is filled based on the selected contact, and not all contacts have a location set for them.

This does however allow you to "just" query the contacts table for the location of the contact... Or the device (logical.name) in the device table.
