SC Product Licensing

We've recently been trying to use Crystal Reports on our system to see what can be done. Previously we just used our development system to take production data and export it to SQL and then let our DBAs do the rest.

Anyway, my question is that we purchased version 4.0.10.2, however on Peregrine's support site they list all different versions available and I tried using versions 4.1.1 and 5.0.1 with our development key. It worked fine.
Is Peregrine ok with doing this? In other words, once you buy a product you can upgrade or use whatever version you want?
