Should I add a chat to the site?

I am considering adding a chat to the site.



Do You think it is a good idea?



Or is it not relevant for this type of website?

From my point a view a chat would helpfull for solving urgent problems !! But only if there are more than two active users on the forum when the problem occurs .....





The second reason why I think a chat won't be usefull is that there won't be any historic of the solutions proposed.



Moreover, when I see the response time to most of the answers I think that the mechanism of the Hot topics is really much more efficient !!!



But that's one point of view....

Thanks for your thoughts.



With the few users saying its a good idea I would not use time to implement a chat. Because it does require a lot of work to get it right.
