Studio - projects & packages

Studio pre-2.2 appeared to install sample projects and samples, so when you created a new project you could select which packages to include.

How is this done in Studio 2.2? Is there a special version of Studio with the packages? I install Get.Resources 2.5, and Studio 2.2 but I cannot find how to create a project to customize Get.Resources.

I have asked the same question to Peregrine because I need to modify the logon procedure in Get-Services 2.3 as I have once done in Get-Services 2.0.1. So far I have not received any news about it.

I think that some of the common scripts (e.g. login) are now implemented in archway classes, and cannot be modified.

I want to change Get.Resources. I know it can be done, as I worked on a Get.Service 2.2 project, but I did not actually install the software then.

The only way I found to change any of the login module was to edit the common\login.js script, to force the entered username to uppercase before validation.

We have implemented Get-Service 2.3 and was told by Peregrine Development that we need to change directly in the .js- files since it is no longer possible to modify e.g. the common module.
We now have serious problems....... so my advise.. don't do it.. make your own interface using SCAuto instead.... :cry:
There is alot other things you can't modify anymore and by time peregrine will completely remove the development kit to Get-It. All modifications in the future will go thru get-it webpages and docexplorer..
Atleast that is what I have been told by Peregrine Development.

How did you create a project to amend Get.Service? I try this in Studio 2.2 and I can see no packages to include in the project.

You have different Tailoring Kits for each module.
So if you have a Tailoring Kit for Get-Services 2.3, you can only play around in Get-Services and nothing else. This changed completely from previous Get-Studios where you could select everything to build a project.

So you'd need Studio, Get.Resources AND a Get.Resources Tailoring Kit. Does the Tailoring Kit ship as a separate CD?

The tailoring kit for Get-Services 2.3 contains the Get-Studio.
Before I got the correct CD from Peregrine it took about 3 weeks :cry:
First I got the Get-Services CD, then the Get-Studio 2.0.1 and finally, after a lot of discussions over the fact if my company was entitled or not to use this Kit, I got the correct CD. And only to find out it was useless in my case! :evil:
