This is because You are running a system client.

The start scheduler button is only available in the express client.

    Why, Why ... why

    :eyes

Why does agent scheduling function only on an express client ?

Why can't you be Allways Admin to regenerate global list ?

Why do you have to manually add you're global list to the Startup List.

Why do you have to add you're agents manually to Startup agent. In order to have it start up automaticly ?

Why can't you log on as an admin on a java client ?

Why can't alert work of severity and priority and off of multiple calendars ?

Here is a suggestion lets build a global list of why things are the way they are in Peregrine

Well why why ... it is easy Peregrine SC has an age of approx. 10-12 Years and just think about that all versions needs to be compliant with higher versions .

the next point is, if you automate a lot of things inside of an application (Service Center) , you are not able to modify your software as close as possible to your internal work process.

For instance : In Germany there is a software called Remedy <-- don't know if this is the right spelling.

this remedy is not so powerfull like SC 4.04 but it is easier to design it. But you will come pretty fast to an end with this software and features there are maybe requested by the customer could not be established.

    Regards,

    John

About the second question in the original post.

How can you add the inactivity agent automatically at boot time of SC instead of manually? I did it once but I didn't take note of it and of course I forgot by now. :~(

System is SC 4.07 on Solaris.

Mea Culpa, I found the solution already

    About Question 2:

You have to add the inactive agent to the list of the the startup agent (Utilities - Maintenance - Startup Information - type=startup and add the inactive agent to the list)
