    Default SC 3.0 SP4 to SC 5.0.1 Upgrade HAngs at 69% Complete

    We are trying to upgrade SC 3.0 SP4 to SC 5.0.1. We have the UNIX version on Sun with an Oracle database (8.1.6). Using Peregrine's upgrade utility, things go very smooth until it hits the 69% complete threshold. It is upgrading Catalog when it hangs. Peregrine has not been able to provide a reason or fix. Has anyone else had a similar problem? Thanks!

    I suppose the obvious workaround would be:

    1) Pull the catalog file back into P4 before you start the upgrade.
    2) Run the upgrade.
    3) Re-export the catalog file to the RDBMS.

    The above should get you over the hump if its some sort of problem with the RDBMS mapping on the catlogg file (which is a pretty common thing for upgrades to die on).
